OtsJuke SHOUTcast/Radio Freedom Integration

Upload your OtsJuke signal to Radio Freedom :

OtsJuke now integrates directly with Nullsoft's SHOUTcast plugin! You can directly broadcast the output of OtsJuke DJ (including mixing, dynamics processing, and all!) to our Radio Freedom server for all to hear! This process is entirely digital so quality is preserved. Also, you do not need any additional sound cards to use this! With perfect mixing and that punchy sound, you'll be the best sounding Radio Freedom DJ on air.

What you need to do first:
Install the Nullsoft SHOUTcast source plugin. Download the plugin from here. When you run the installer, it will install the plugin into your Winamp plugins folder by default.

Copy the DSP_SC.DLL file from C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins to C:\OtsJuke\Plugins\Other. If you installed Winamp or OtsJuke to non-default locations, then these paths will be different.

Copy the LAMEDLL.DLL file from C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins to C:\OtsJuke\Plugins\Other. If you installed Winamp or OtsJuke to non-default locations, then these paths will be different.


Once you've done these things, you're almost ready to go to live on Radio Freedom!
Please note that we obviously cannot provide support for the SHOUTcast plugin itself. There is plenty of good information at Nullsoft's Winamp and SHOUTcast sites, though bear in mind that much of the information is irrelevant when you're using OtsJuke as the audio source!

The main thing to keep in mind is that whatever you do through OtsJuke's audio pipeline, play digital audio files, play CDs directly, make EQ and dynamics processor adjustments, will all be part of the stream that is uploaded to SHOUTcast!

This is incredible flexibility you just can't get with any other program! Try listening to some of the SHOUTcast showcase radio stations. Currently, they basically fit into one of two categories:
1) they put up with gaps between songs (no mixing), and annoying descrepancies in volume between different songs, or
2) they are actually a genuine, pro, station with many thousands of dollars of gear, and they are simply feeding their final signal to SHOUTcast.
